Freddie, I agree with you. I left Humble a note on his blog letting him know that I am still a big fan of his (and H&F), but in spite of trying I couldn't endure the format of the show. I wish him much success and hoped that he could endure the format for some time.

Like i said on my original comment the other day..it's a paycheque for HH, and i feel for the guy only that he has to be surrounded by shite music..but let's face it..it's not even about the music during a morning show...even the Edge's morning show isn't about music. Hell, i'm sure HH would ideally prefer zero music like the mojo format so they could get a bit of time to do a decent show.
If Humble had multiple offers from various stations, i'm sure ezrock wouldn't necessarily be the first choice (assuming other factors are equal like money,etc)
But i don't criticize HH in the least...in fact, in all fairness i can't even really criticize those around him who have to do the whole phony-laugh- morning-show-shchtick...they're just doing their jobs...must be tough to pretend to laugh at something on air day in and day out, when in any other circumstance you might note even crack a smile.
But hey, it's better than working in a salt mine or something.

People need to understand that if by some miracle the H&F show was reunited, it wouldn't be the same. It wasn't the same on Mojo, it wasn't the same on the Mix.
Humble has a new life, and Freddie, you're going ot have a new life in talk radio somwhere. I know it, and I look forward to the day when I can turn on the radio and listen the the Freddie P Show.

Currently I am working at a country station and for those who know me would say
YOU ???? THE # 1 KISS FAN IN CANADA at a country station ??
The answer was simple for me I have a mother who is ill and I asked for a transfer closer to Calgary and this is what came up and not only am I having fun working a country format for the 1st time in a 30 year broadcasting career I GET FREDDIE P live every Tuesday morning at 8:10 mtn time.
So good for Humble and this business is so weird maybe H & F and I will be working together somewhere down the road !!!

Very true freddie, sometimes in order to keep food on the table you have to take a job that may not necessarily be something you are used to but in the end you have to do what you have to do.
No matter what the format, its great that Howard is back on the airwaves, I only wish the station had a little more power so I could tune it in in my car, its all static down here in WNY.

This is all about working and doing ewhat you love. I an a fairly good aquatence of Howards and while he kept himself busy over the past 18 months doing voiceovers, commercials and production stuff, his heart is stilll most likely in radio. how many of us out there can say we have our dream job. If i had my dream job i would have taken over for Chuck Swirsky braodcasting Raptors games... but hey, we all have to earn a living right!!!

I am a little bit surprised that Humble went to Easy Rock, specially considering the format over there. But hey, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to pay the bills, and him and his family needs to eat too.
I hope it works out for him, probably will be a little diferent over at Easy Rock, probably won't be able to get away with some of the stuff that you can say or do on The Edge, Mojo or even The Mix though. But I think he will do ok.
Hey who knows, maybe something better will come along in the future or if things really work out Humble and Fred will be back on the air together somewhere.

Freddie your a class guy, and a true friend will always support his friends in no matter what they do (that is legal of course). I Listen for Humble and his antics and that it's a familiar voice I've listened to for about 15+ years, the music I block out like my wife and kids.
If Freddie gets on in the morning somewhere I will wear out my preselect buttons bouncing back and forth. By the way if we haven't all noticed we have all been getting older and I just couldn't see Humble and Fred doing Wake stock etc.

Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
