Well Said

June 17, 2008 @ 12:39

Not to sound like a broken record, but from time to time I’ve made the point that parenting is the most pressing problem of society today, in particular fatherless homes.

Of course there are those who have their heads stuffed up their asses and won’t address the problem, and it becomes even touchier when it’s pointed out that fatherless homes seem to a problem more prevalent to African Americans / Canadians / (insert other here)

Unless you’re African-Something you stand to be barraged with the “R” word, because its great defense for those who refuse to address the root problem which affects not only the world and North America, but Toronto in particular.

How refreshing that we have the likes of Bill Cosby and now Barack Obama who aren’t afraid to speak out on the topic and chastise their own people.

We’re supposed to be one people, but when a white person questions the cultural habits of a black person, something is lost in the translation.

But when one black man speaks out against another black man, then it holds some water and people have to listen, including the women who bear children to several different sperm donors.

Have a read, then have a listen to Obama.

Obama is an authority on this issue. After all, his father left him and returned to Africa.

It's also VERY interesting that when Cosby spoke out, he was chastised by the so-called black "leaders" and that negativity was widely reported in the media.
When Obama says the same thing....It's "Kumbaya, My Lord".

That being said, Cosby was right and so was Obama when he repeated it.

Chris Rock has also said similar – except in his case he was incredibly funny. His stand up video from about 10 years ago was a classic. It dealt a lot with irresponsible black men who impregnate but then leave and move onto another ‘baby mama’.

If you have a chance, rent it its effing funny and true at the same time.

There are many problems we can associate with a group. Why is it that the majority of DUI cases involve white males? When are these white men going to understand they are killing people on our roadways? Seems to me if we could educate white men about the dangers of drinking and driving, we could save hundreds of lives... Wait. We do educate white males about those dangers and yet, the number of instances is increasing each year. Fact is, every group has its flaws and problems when we group them together. It all seems relative to me.

Dan – Do you have stats on this type of crime? You’re probably right but it would be nice to see some stats on it.

Every body acknowledges that today's life seems to be expensive, however different people need cash for different stuff and not every person earns enough cash. Thence to get quick personal loans and just college loan should be good solution.
