If Christine is the niece of John Nunziata then she is also the niece of Frances Nunziata, one of the Toronto City Councillors, a semi-right winger that carps constantly about Council expenses. I guess the message about spending taxpayers money doesn't get discussed much at family get-togethers. Maybe, instead, they talk about the ex-wife of another Nunziata brother, who put a big sign in the front window of her home that said that her ex-husband was a deadbeat Dad. Money must be a big issue in that family.

The Sun's article is so laughably vivid, I pictured Nunziata as a corpulant Italian matron in gaudy jewelry and a Lane Bryant teddy sitting poolside in Turks & Caicos and shoving McDonald's fries into her mouth, as she reads "Discovering Your Psychic Power", all on the taxpayers dime.
Given the humiliating nature of this story, you'd think she'd resign...

hey FP-- Nuz is just following in the family footsteps. Go back into the suns archives and you will find that young Mr. Nuz was up on charges for disfiguring a billboard at the corner of Jane & Bloor ST. It had something to do with us being Americanized.

I've fought with the TCDSB for years, especially last year when my kids' school was found to be infested with mould, and the trustees told us they couldn't afford to give us an addition....of course not, they might have starved!! The horror!!! Someone has to do something about this parasite...she's completely useless as a trustee, if anyone looked into her attendance you'd notice she attends just enought board meetings to avoid being fired....someone get a backhoe down to the school board quick!!!!

I was on a trip to cuba with her, probably the one she used board money to pay with. she is mean woman that has no respect for others. She treated the hotel staff like peasants and bragged about making over 100,000.00 dollars a year. She was rude and offened my husband and I numerous times. She has the nerve to ask one of the hotel staff to carry her to the disco... to avoid wrecking her NINE WEST sandles...KRAMA is a wonderful thing. I cannot describe to you the smile on my face when I saw her face in the paper.

If these allegations are true, then as a person in her position she should be removed. This kind of abuse should not be tolerated. Why should tax payers pay her way or anyone else's for that matter.
This matter is not shedding good vibes to the TCDSB. Others in positions of trust that have been found guilty in the past had been removed, but now it has reached the trustee level and they are not above the law.
Look after our children's education and the honest hard working staff.
The public servants are all accountable.

When is this talk about Christine going to stop !! Enough is Enough. She is human like everybody else. I have been reading and keeping up to date with the garbage that has been printed. DON'T ALWAYS BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ. I personally know Christine as I have traveled with her to most of her trips and especially to Cuba. She is such a beatiful person. Very caring. She has always been so nice to everyone espically the local people at her destinations. Christine has a very good heart and the media and gossip is just making this out to be false information. Everybody please take a moment to look at her website look at her expenses you can see that she did pay all of her personal expenses back out of her own will. I, like you, know Christine Nunziata - but I know her from a professional standpoint...she is arrogant, rude, self-centered and childish....this spending issue is no surprise to me given her conduct. She might be a nice person in her private life, but facts are facts - whether or not she repaid the expenses is not the issue, the issue is that she charged them to a school board credit card in the first place!!!! She is wrong wrong wrong and I sincerely hope the Board has the guts to have her charged criminally for what she's done....once can be looked at as a mistake, but three times? Give me (and the rest of us who support the Catholic School Board via our taxes) a break!!!!

Janet - you must be the only friend Christine has. I know her from a personal stand point as well and she is rude, obnoxious and quite the fibber. I often wondered how she got elected into office. I guess her political career is over! THANK God.

I do not know Christina Nunziata personally.The personality characteristics as described by people that know her should not surprise us.She grew up among a disfunctional political family made up of uncle and aunt Frances Nunziata who in the past has had her share of insulting and disrespectiful exchanges with many people. Christina seems to be a product of her environment.
However, Trustee, means Trust. In this Christina has failed the Catholic community in general, the parents, the childen and Teachers who work hard to teach catholic values. One of the ten comandements is You shall not steal.
What example are the Trustees showing to the children under their care? That it is ok to steal and get away with it?
I have witten an email to Christina Nunziata with copy to all Trustees asking that she be fired if she does not resign.

I read the article in the Toronto Sun..as well as the Freddie P. article above, and all I can say is that that is just a small glimpse of what Canada is heading for..it seems to be everywhere..The RCMP, TDSB, Hydro One and even our past Prime Minister..Is it too much to believe in the people we are supposed to trust...Unfortunately..I guess so..Fool me once, shame on you..fool me twice, shame on me! SHAME SHAME SHAME!

I find it truly interesting that all of you who write things here are gullable to beleive all that written in the paper especially the Sun. I mean a paper full of scum. There is obviously more to this story that I am sure time will prevail, and for all of you to poke fun, insult, pass judgement on one person based on what is printed in the Sun paper as value word, is honestly an insult of your intelligence. If any of you really stoped to think about it, do you think some of this could have been fabricated to make a great story and there could be very good explanations for all the allegations against Christine Nunziata? You are all being very unfair, and to tell lies about her especially for those who claim you know her is a disgrace. If you claim to know her personally why not have the nerve to say what you say here directly to her face, or mabye you dont know her as personally as you may think. Christine is a wonderful, generous and very lovely human being who has helped hundreds if not thousands of people and for you all to ridcule her here in a public forum is disgracful and without proper knowledge of the situation and basing your commentary on what you read in tabloid papers like the Sun is well simply stated ignorance on your part. Be careful with your words, becasue they do have ways of coming back to haunt you. IN closing, things are not always as they appear.

The last I heard of Christine is that she had checked into the center for addiction and Mental Health. No surprise she is a junky! But the funniest thing about the whole story is that she was elected as the board's TREASURER after filling from bankruptcy. Who is the bigger idiot; the board or Christine the Plunderer.
