FreddieP's Graceland Tour

August 16, 1977 @ 15:30

There are eleven installments. They are all short so you don't have to invest a lot of time in this.
Hit the first video, and when it's complete, hit the next one. And so on, and so on.

Those were great! Hilarious commentary. Was it just me, or was the sound missing on the last three videos?

Hey Fred remember that song from the movie, The Magic Christian? Had the line "If you want it, here it is, come and get it.......mmmm make your mind up fast"......then some reference to a fool and his money. Sorry, it just came to me when you were saying "I can't believe I'm paying $60 to see Graceland.

The problem with the sound is an issue with youtube, you have too many active videos loaded. Close the browser then reload the page, the last 3 videos will now have sound.

Mr. Fred

In all due respect to your opinion of Graceland, I feel compelled to give you mine.

As for the $60 cost to see Graceland, I wonder if you have cosidered the cost to maintain it for the 75,000+ visitors each year.

Have you considered the number of our fellow Black Americans who are duly employed at Graceland, as a result of the
fans all over the world who do appreciate Graceland and Elvis' memory?

As far as Graceland being cheesy and over the top - remember that Graceland is a replica of the 70's. Just like the small house in Tupelo is a replica of the poverty Elvis lived in as a child.

I think you lack an understanding of Elvis' roots and musical accomplishments - especially since you implied as much.

When they do a history of the most influential people in the world in the past hundred years, Elvis and Martin Luther King are equally remembered....

I really don't understand why
after going there, you came away with such a negative attitude....We are visting the home of "a man" - housed within his many accomplishments as a singer -

If you can not appreciate any of that - then I would have to say you are very close minded....

Thank you Mr. Fred for the opportunity to share a different point of view with you regarding Elvis' home...
